What We Do
We work with communities in Uganda to supply the most needy families with rainwater tanks and equip them with the knowledge and tools to use them.
Each year we take one or two groups of volunteers, who have all raised money to come along, out to Uganda for a fortnight. We build as many water tanks as the time and our resourses allow (about 50 each trip). We use local materials and volunteers to assist us. We also spend time training the beneficiaries on how to get the most from their water tank.
The results are households who are able to grow their own produce and become self sufficient. We have evidence of a number of families selling excess produce at market and using this money to improve their lives, such as sending their children to school.
