Formal Night 2013
On 2nd February 2013 we had our yearly fundraiser event at Wallasey Golf Club. A packed evening of singing provided by Lilli Moore a local female singer who sang everything from 1950's through to current chart songs. A packed buffet followed by rolling the pound and raffle draw netted just short of £1,100.
These funds will help support future trips in the field.
Black Tie Dinner 2012
On Saturday 25th February 2012 around 100 people came together at Hulme Hall, Port Sunlight, to support DRIP's work and enjoy a night of celebration for all the charity has achieved.
The evening was lively, fun and informative and was an opportunity to thank previous supporters for all their help in achieving our aims as well as to introduce the organisation to new supporters and help increase the work we carry out in Uganda.
We would especially like to thank the entertainers: Samantha Williams and her jazz ensemble who entertained people as they arrived and during the drinks reception; and Kayla for her after dinner entertainment and getting everyone dancing the night away.
All the guests embraced the fundraising activities so check back soon to see the photos from the evening.
Thanks to all who attended and made the evening such a success.
Fizz Pop 2011
Thanks to all our supporters who joined us on a cold December evening in Hoylake, Wirral to enjoy a glass of fizz, some fireworks and a warming bowl of chilli.
Special thanks go to Hoylake Sailing Club who hosted our event and did a great job of making it a huge success. Also thanks to the volunteers who stood out in the cold to give us a spectacular fireworks display.
We at DRIP hope you had an enjoyable time and thank you for helping us raise money for our next trip to Uganda in April 2012.
Black Tie Fundraising Dinner 2011
A great night was had in Heswall on very wet and windy night in Feb 2011 all in aid of funding future DRIP visits to Uganda.
A mix of long time supporters and this year's volunteers' friends and family were warmly greeted with a number of previous volunteers in Ugandan dress. During the drinks reception we were entertained with live music from Tom Jarvis. We then set off for our village tables and tucked into the evenings meal along with a quiz and balloon competition.
A presentation followed the food reminding us of the history of how DRIP formed, to a final fund raising fling including roll a pound competition, a mad dash for the silent auction to a disco into the wee small hours.
All in all we managed to have a profit on the night in the order of £2,530. So well done everyone and here’s to seeing you all again soon.
